Instructions

1/2 teaspoon of tea per 8 ounces of water

175℉ water for hot tea

Sift 1/2 tsp of matcha into a bowl or cup then add 2 oz of hot water (175° F). Mix with bamboo whisk or milk frother until smooth froth forms. Add more hot water to taste (2-4 oz recommended)

Revival Tea’s Japanese Matcha has REVIVED my love for tea!!! I used to be an avid tea drinker back in the days when Teavana had its own storefronts in malls and wide product selection (curse you Starbucks!). But this matcha peaked my interest, because I’ve heard of the health benefits, and I love supporting local (heard about Revival from my brother-in-law). I love the flavor, the feel, the color, the everything about this product. The tin that it comes in is great, the tea has a great flavor, I got the premium grade, very high quality, even just straight it has very little bitterness. Additionally, I am a coffee freak, and I really like how the caffeine from this tea makes me feel as opposed to coffee. That is a tea thing in general, but matcha in particular has a lot of L-Theanine so that releases the caffeine slower. The only downfall is the fact that if you’re not careful, it can get pretty clumpy and have a hard time dissolving (that also could be due to the fact that I don’t have a sifter, nor a matcha whisk, just a milk frother) To summarize: I love everything about it; great flavor, feel, and packaging, and if you pickup locally they give you a free drink!

I was really impressed with the matcha !!! It is so delightfully bitter and grassy, and tastes great with sweetened soy milk, steamed to caramelize and break down the lactose crystals: it compliments the nutty tea perfectly. It tastes just like being in a Japanese cafe!!!!!!
